Dissemination of Plan Formal, written communication mechanisms have been established to publicize and disseminate Lee Countys Equal Employment Opportunity Policy to its employees, applicants and the general public. Internally Lee Countys Human Resources Departments provides a copy of the Affirmation Action Plan and Equal Employment Opportunity Guidelines to each county department. Each County Department is responsible for its implementation and dissemination within its units. New employees receive detailed information and a copy as they are hired as part of their Personnel Manual at Orientation. Feature articles, follow-up information and update items are included division newsletters, bulletins and announcements. All employees receive updates to the Lee County Policies and Procedures manual in which an EEO statement and policy is contained and updated. The Equal Opportunity Division, in conjunction with the Human Resources Division, establish and conduct regularly scheduled training sessions for appointing authorities, department and vision directors, and all supervisory personnel. These sessions cover the provisions of this plan, as well as other applicable laws and regulations. Additional steps to assure the dissemination of the Affirmative Action Plan and updates are taken from time to time as deemed necessary by the division of Equal Opportunity. LeeTrans managers and supervisors are fully informed of Lee Countys EEO Policy and are provided updated and refresher materials through the following means.
Externally This Affirmative Action Plan, including its guidelines for implementation and supporting data is a public document. One or more copies of each document is kept on file at public libraries, the Equal Opportunity Division, and the Countys Human Resources Division for public inspection by interested persons upon request.
