July 4 Holiday Service

LeeTran's 18 bus routes will not operate on Saturday, July 4 in honor of Independence Day. The only service that will operate is trolley service for Fort Myers Beach.

Trolley service from Summerlin Square on the mainland to Bowditch Park at the north end of the island, will run every 40 minutes starting at 7:00 a.m. The last trip off the island will drop passengers at Summerlin Square at 11:55 p.m.

Beach trolley service, which travels on Estero Boulevard from Bowditch Park to Lovers Key State Park, will run every 30 minutes from 6:45 a.m. until the last stop at Bowditch at 11:40 p.m.

The adult trolley fare is 50 cents per boarding; the discount fare (seniors 65 and up, disabled persons and students with required I.D.) is 25 cents per boarding. Exact change is required.

On Friday, July 3, all LeeTran routes will operate on their Saturday schedules.

About LeeTran

LeeTran is operated under the authority of Lee County Government and the Lee County Board of Commissioners.  LeeTran operates 18 fixed bus routes which last year provided more than 3 million rides to residents and visitors. In addition, LeeTran provides a "Park and Ride" trolley service to and from Fort Myers Beach.

LeeTran also operates Passport, an ADA paratransit service for disabled citizens who are not able to use the fixed route system. Passport service is available along the same corridors served by regular buses.

Public transit services are available Monday through Saturday, from 5:00 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., with limited Sunday service on some routes. Please click on "Routes & Schedules" for more detailed information
